I am pretty sure that every photographer on the planet has a photography bucket list. A list of places, themes or people that they want to photograph. Mine mostly consists of awesome location and theme ideas I have been holding on to for the perfect location or client to come along.
A few weeks ago I got to cross one of those ideas off of my bucket list. I have for awhile really wanted to do some sort of carnival or amusement park shoot. I realized I had the perfect opportunity when there was a traveling carnival set up only 5 minutes from my home. The only problem was the only available subjects were my own children.
There is a phenomenon that is known among photographers as PCS or Photographer’s child syndrome. That is where your own children are the worst and hardest children to photograph. And my son is definitely no exception to this rule. However despite his inability to sit still for more than 30 seconds I managed to get a few adorable pictures of him enjoying the carnival!
I don’t have this idea out of my system quite yet! I would love to see if we can shoot your next session at a local carnival or maybe look into shooting at a location like Lakeside amusement park. If you are interested in exploring this option with me feel free to contact me at the link below.
